Good evening all!
first thing: I didn't do any running because I wanted to rest my knee, tomorrow morning I'm off to see the doctor. So it was upper body and core training at the studio and then on the weekend we had 2 squash league matches. I play in germanys second division for the SC Nürtingen - we're located near Stuttgart.
Had the chance to play on pos. one as Dylan Bennet, our true no. one was in France. The match on saturday was against the former no. 10 in the world, australian Joseph Kneipp. No chance there, went down 5/11, 8/11, 6/11. On sunday I had the worlds no. 69 Jonathan Harford and I was in with a chance! Shame - I was too eager, made some quick mistakes and lost 6/11 in the fifth. Altogether our Team lost both matches, but, hey, we had a lot of fun and as usual: we were the best looking guys... ;-)
MdS plan: As I felt very comfortable with my backpack I'll now stop running with it and just do plain running - maybe taking my walking poles with me more often.

Squash Spieltag 2. Bundesliga
Zunächst zum MdS Training: Wegen des Knies habe ich eine Laufpause gemacht und war bloß im Fitness an den Geräten. Morgen früh gehts zum Arzt.
Am Wochenende waren wieder zwei harte Squash Matches! Ich spiele ja in der 2. Bundesliga für den SC Nürtingen (bei Stuttgart). Da unsere Nr eins, Dylan Bennet, fehlte durfte ich an Pos. eins spielen. Am Samstag gings gegen die ehemalige Nr. 10 der Welt Joseph Kneipp. Ziemlich chancenlos mußte ich das Spiel 5/11, 8/11, 6/11 abgeben. Am Sonntag mußte ich gegen die aktuelle Nr 69 der Welt spielen, Jonathan Harford. Da hatte ich Chancen!! War sogar 2:1 nach Sätzen vorn, wurde dann aber zu hektisch und verlor dann doch noch 6/11 im entscheidenden fünften Satz.
Als Mannschaftsergebnis standen am Ende auch 2 Niederlagen da, aber wir hatten viel Spass und wie gehabt: wir waren wieder einmal die bestaussehensden Spieler... ;-)
Zurück zum MdS: Ich bin jetzt genug mit Rucksack gelaufen und komme damit sehr gut klar. Jetzt werde ich hauptsächlich ohne Rucksack laufen aber vielleicht öfter mit Nordic Walking Stöcken. Mal sehen, was der Arzt morgen sagt...
