Good Afternoon all!
Last weekend was a squash disaster. Our team lost both matches and I also lost both my matches :-( The first wasn't too bad. I had to play a guy called Aqueel Rehman who is 130 in the world. I lost 1:3. On sunday I played a mate of mine I've known for over 20 years. Were pretty even squashwise but on sunday he just crushed me. Bastard. ;-) Watch out Andy - next time it's my turn again!! :-)
Last preperations are underway: Alex Vero (www.veroproductions.co.uk) gave me further advice for the run. He also mentioned that I should take more food. I now have a "joker" bag with additional 3000kcal.
What's been worrying me is the dangerous stuff on the flights. For EU flights you are NOT allowed to have a lighter in your hold luggage. It must be on your body. If it is found in your hold luggage it will be disposed of. the same applies to "Esbit" material - that's the sturff to get your campfire going. If you're lucky, the X-Ray won't detect it, but I don't want to count on that. So, a lighter in my pocket, but probably no ESBIT. :-(
Easy 9km jog and a few weights and solarium yesterday, today easy jog (the race itself only starts on sunday!) and tomorrow: holiday! Time to practise packing my backpack etc!!!

Letzter Arbeitstag!
Am Wochenende war Squash Katastrophnetag. Unsere Mannschaft hat beide Matches verloren und ich habe auch meine beiden Spiele verloren :-( Das erste habe ich wenigstens noch eng gespielt. Das war 1:3 gegen Aqueel Rehman, die Nummer 130 der Welt. Am Sonntag gegen einen langjährigen Mitstreiter Andreas Omlor. Wir waren immer gleich gut, außer am Sonntag. Da hat er mich aus dem Court gehauen, der Hund. Na warte Andy! Nächstes mal bin ich wieder dran! :-)
Die letzten Vorbereitungen sind in vollem Gange. Alex Vero (www.veroproductions.co.uk) emphahl mir mehr Kalorien mitzunehmen. Er hat fast 7kg abgenommen in der Woche... Daraufhin habe ich eine Jokertüte gepackt mit weiteren 3000Kcal...
Was mir momentan Sorge bereitet ist die Mitnahme der gefährlichen Gegenstände im Flieger. Gasfeuerzeuge sind im aufgegebenen Gepäck VERBOTEN. Ein persönliches Gasfeuerzeug am Körper getragen ist hingegen erlaubt.
Ja, ist total doof und ein wenig unlogisch, ist aber dennoch so. Und Brennpaste und ESBIT ist ganz verboten, auch im aufgegebenen Gepäck! Wird das Zeug im Koffer entdeckt, dann muß es entsorgt werden. Und die Chance, dass es nicht entdeckt wird besteht zwar, ist aber nicht sonderlich groß... Wie ich das also mit dem ESBIT mache, weiß ich noch nicht genau.
Naja, morgen ist erstmal der erste Urlaubstag!!! Da werde ich mal übern, meinen Rucksack ordentlich zu packen! Gestern lockere 9km gejoggt und ein paar Gewichte gestemmt, heute leichtes joggen und morgen mal sehen. Der Lauf an sich beginnt ja erst am Sonntag. Genug Erholungszeit also!
