Compass

Good evening all!

The last couple of days were more or less the usual stuff in training. Went to my fitness club SWISS Training and went running in the woods etc.
But on Friday I went to Bannat. That's an outdoor Shop here in Berlin. My dad promised me a compass for chritmas as that really is a vital piece of equipment. And as he is ex-army I hope to get some advice in map reading! :-)
So, the compass I'll be taking along is the Recta DS 50. I bought it at Bannat because a) my dad didn't get on in Paderborn where he lives and b) they're really good at explaining and they take their time with their customers.

I'm off to visit my sister, mum and dad now for a few days. Hopefully I'll get some training squeezed in between all the nice food! :-)

Neuer Kompass
Die letzten Tage waren in puncto Training ohne große Neuigkeiten. Mit Rucksack und unterschiedlichen Gewichten, zum SWISS Training, im Wald, mit Rudi im Schloßpark etc.

Aber etwas Neues gibt es doch: Mein Dad hat mir zu Weihnachten ein Kompass versprochen! Er ist der Meinung bei sowas sollte man kein Risiko eingehen. Immerhin war er 17 Jahre in der englischen Armee. Da denke ich, er weiß was wichtig ist zum überleben...
Da er in Paderborn nicht das Richtige finden konnte, war ich bei "Bannat" hier in Berlin. Die sind richtig kompetent, freundlich und nehmen sich Zeit für ihre Kunden. Lars hat mich super beraten und mir sogar noch einen Schnellkurs in Sachen Kompass lesen gegeben! Werde also den Recta DS 50 mit in die Wüste nehmen.
Bin jetzt unterwegs meine in Deutschland verstreute Familie zu besuchen und ich hoffe natürlich sehr, dass mein Dad mir noch ein paar weitere wertvolle Tips zum Thema Kompass geben wird!
